ZFS Performance Tuning

On May 22, 2014, this presentation was made to the San Diego chapter of LOPSA (the League Of Professional System Administrators).

A PDF of the slide deck is here, along with a shell script (Solaris 11 only) to retrieve the ZFS parameters and statistics from a running system.

I plan to convert this presentation to a technical paper, adding information on FreeBSD and Linux at the same time. My research uncovered far more performance tuning information than I could fit into a presentation of reasonable length, so I had to leave out some of it. I'd also like to add in some indicators as to when certain tuning is required.
