ACCS is currently building their third generation of High Performance File Servers. Each generation incorporates changes to increase speed and improve reliability. A File Archival Server is designed and configured to store large amounts of data on local disks. It provides access to the data at a relatively slow speed (10-30MB/S). A single processor with limited memory is used to control costs. Systems of this type are typically used for data storage for a small workgroup or for on-line backups. The price of these systems is very competitive when compared to the cost of a tape archival system. The systems are available in three rackmount configurations, allowing up to twenty-four data disks. Deskside configurations with up to forty-five data disks are also available. Please see the following pages for additional information: |
